[CrimsonSubs] Douluo Dalu / Soul Land - S2 / Season 2 (53-78) (Batch) | 1080p

For the people who are confused why I re-uploaded the torrent:
Episodes 75-78 didn't have audio on them which means I had no choice but to re-add the videos in the torrent and re-upload the torrent again on Nyaa! Hope this cleared some stuff up, I checked the videos again and they're working fine now, not to mention the file size went down by 600mb :)

Thanks for the batches. It is really good, too bad they went with that hideous 3D instead of 2D though.
Any plans to do the rest? According to MAL there 5 seasons so far, 4 of which are complete and the 5th is still airing.
I found more episodes on nyaa but the numbers don't add up since season 2 is only 52 episodes but I found separate episodes numbered Season 2 92 [118] whatever that means.

2 Seasons
There are only 2 seasons though... Season 1 which is Ep 01-26 and Season 2 which is Ep 27-119.
In short, S2 is still continuing. MAL probably split them apart for some reason.

Math
92 stands for the episode number for Season 2
118 stands for all the eps together
26 eps (S1) + 92 (S2 >>> starting from 27 to 118 = 92 eps) = 118 eps in total, get it? :3

2D or 3D?
I agree that they should've gone with 2D just like The King's Avatar got a 2D, though the 3D looks pretty good, not to mention the quality/animation etc. gets each ep better and better.

Future Plans
I'm indeed planning to upload more of these badges soon! Atm I am busy programming, planning to upload the batch in 2 days :)

Part 4 of Douluo Dalu / Soul Land S2 (Ep 79-104) [1080p] (Batch), is what I'll call it ofc.

Not sure if it will be CrimsonSubs or the new ones you've mentioned, which are now on Nyaa, I'll think about it tomorrow! :)

HaxTalks subs were pretty good.
CrimsonSubs were much lower quality.
AnimeXin is utter garbage.

I wish they release the show with official subs at some point but I won't hold my breath.
There many good donghua but they almost all have hardcoded chicken-scratch and no official English subs which is a shame.

I agree with you. HaxTalks their subs were really good. Crimson is not bad either but it has it flaws, but somehow you're able to overlook them and read it as normal English. I can't say anything about AnimeXin their subs, just that the way it looks, covering the whole screen is kind of annoying imo.

Crimson is STILL subbing the newer eps (even did the latest one), but he made it only available on his Patreon,
so I may give him some of money again to get my hands on his releases :)

I'll be searching for now sooner or later to different kind of Eng Subs of Douluo Dalu, I'll be comparing and see what I'll choose! ^^

@D44 Tencent Video has been uploading videos up on their YouTube channel with English captions https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMX26aiIvX5oBwyvcxES9P7OvCtHcPny5 They do about 2 episode per day.

@AnimeSlash, I've been subbed to them for pretty much long and I have never noticed this before somehow. I did find out about this the day I've been uploading the batches, but when I saw they had allot of private videos I thought like nevermind.

Though I am thinking about subbing the whole series myself starting from Episode 1. I found a way to get the subtitle file from YouTube, I only have to try to change the font to something more "Official". Let me know what y'all think, not to forget that I will try to upscale and sharpen the 1080p to make it look just slightly better and put the subs at the right place. I will render the video at a decently high bitrate so there is a chance the video file might be high, but worth it! ^^

P.S. I am an expert in video-editing so nothing to worry about. This is one of my favorite series and I want it done right!

EDIT: LMFAO, I'VE ALREADY DONE THE 1st Episode!!! 30 minutes is what it took me... that's pretty decent. If I can do like 5 eps a day you know! :) -- Though... I've been subbing the whole episode with the Spider-Man PS4 font... which means every word or should I say every letter is basically UPPERCASE like this instead of Uppercase... I think the subs look very nice, but it wouldn't hurt for me to try a different font, maybe the one HorribleSubs uses, the things is... the Chinese letters are in the way so uppercase seems to be the to go... we'll see what happens, I may post some screenshots in the comment below! ^^

About your previous comment: "uppercase seems to be the to go", are these letters like this throughout the whole episode? I would strongly advice against this. It hurts readability quite a bit (people will read this at a slower pace, because it is harder to differentiate the letters). What I have done in the Animexin subs is add an extra big black padding. I found this to be effective at masking the Chinese characters on the background.

Yes, they're like that the whole episode. It's readable and the pace is alright! It's just getting used to,
for example I had to get used to your subs that covered the screen too which in the end worked out! ^^

But like I said, I am trying to export as soft subs so people can change it them selves etc.
I'll try to get it for different fonts if possible at the same time :D
