The font is changed and the OP/ED is added. It doesn’t seem like the original subs are modified to me. I could be wrong though.

MTBB isn't just one person. The subs aren't in Japanese so there isn't any Japanese subs being typesetted. Official subs, if that is what they are using for a particular episode/show, are bettered for a more fulfilling experience. If you will look at his previous uploads you can see MTBB isn't just a typeset job group.
