Reencoded from JySzE's excellent release (338GiB) https://nyaa.si/view/1267130
Conversion to constant 23.976fps, Heavy denoising, and debanding. x265 CRF16.4
Converted to 23.976fps CFR to ensure best hardware compatibility, although at the cost of some judder due to more duplicated frames and lost frames.
The amount of denoising and debanding applied will have almost certainly wiped some details, but the goal of this release is just "good enough" quality with a massive file size reduction over JySzE's excellent quality release.

Audio is encoded with qAAC at q82 with some exceptions where q100 or q109 is used for a few episodes where the English track was too low bitrate.
Obviously reencoding the English track isn't the greatest thing to do since it was originally from a lossy source, but leaving it as FLAC was not an option for this reencodes goal.
Changed the set language of the Full English subtitle track to be Japanese to differentiate it more easily, so those who want English Audio and the Signs & Songs subs can just set their players preferred languages for audio and subs to Eng Eng and those who want Japanese audio and Full English subs set Jpn Jpn.

JySzE’s DVDRip release will for sure remain the best until there is a HD Remaster (if that ever happens).
I assume the German SD-BD release is inferior to JySzE’s R2J DVDRip release?
FUNimation will be releasing the series as well, but it will be the "remastered" version cropped in 16:9.

The German BD isn't an SD-BD. It's a 480i30 billenear upscale to 1080p25 with nothing else done to it. But yeah it's vastly inferior.

judder is a big deal for me. it's scattered though out shippuden and it's really annoying. Don't want to see it in naruto. (in the CR one not the iTunes one.)

@nyaajjh This one is higher quality. EvilMini is like the absolutely smallest I could go while keeping decent quality.
@naiyas I have no plans to do Bleach, the Blu-rays kinda suck for it. This was reencoded from JySze's previous Naruto release, which they've since taken down, their newer one should be better, but I only did these as a pretty low effort shitpost, so I'm not going to bother to update them.
Naruto was animated at variable frame rates, up to 29.97fps, however with much of the animation being done with the 23.976fps output target, JySze's release is encoded with a variable frame rate(VFR) instead of a constant frame rate(CFR), when you inspect such a file you get the average frame rate not minimum or maximum. VFR provides the best playback quality with the least possible judder, leaving it to the player and display refresh rate to display the frames in the smoothest way they can.
For these shitposts I threw out the VFR and went for CFR at 23.976fps for simplicity in the workflow I was using and because they were just shitpost minis I meant less frames to encode and a slightly smaller file size, though at the cost of some judder and lost frames
