Synopsis:
Psycho-Pass Extended Edition aired from July 10, 2014 as a recap of Psycho-Pass and background for the 2014 release of Psycho-Pass 2. The series cuts the original 22 episodes down to eleven 45-minute episodes with new footage added alluding to events included in the official novel. Each episode features a new scene at the beginning and another in the middle, linking two consecutive episodes.The quality of the scenes is also upgraded, with repairs made to several bugs, and enhanced special effects, especially of the Dominator.
~ This project involved a shitton of re-timing basically e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Really was gonna lose my shit when I was doing this. Hell, some subtitles were actually missing so I had to fill in the blanks. Looks like that JP language class I took for 7 years was finally worth it. All the action scenes have the audio amplified. It’s pretty neat. What I liked the most about this is the extra inner monolugue and scenes, especially with Makashima. It provides a deeper explanation of Makashima’s thoughts and his reasoning, including Akane’s. PSYCHO-PASS Extended Edition is a masterpiece. If you loved season 1, then it's a must watch. If you haven't watched it, you're truly missing out on some extra storyline and character development. Who wouldn't want to re-watch season 1 with extra scenes? No. I left the video untouched. It was already in h265. Just swapped the FLAC audio with OPUS and added subtitles. Video has been left unaltered. My name is in the metadata since I own the files. Just have the media info put up for those that want the video specs. I have the original source in the description if you want to compare the file size. I just added my tag so people would know who the uploader is. I’m the only uploader to take on this daunting project to begin with.
alright. well, most remux groups like ctr and kametsu put the 'original source' in the stream's metadata. it clarifies where the stream was taken from. their own tag goes on the title and filename. just something you might wanna keep in mind for future. thanks for the work with subs.

Yes. Watch Season 1 first, and then the Extended Edition. You'd want to see the extra storyline after finishing Season 1. It'd be quite confusing to understand otherwise, since the Extended Edition is split up differently than Season 1.

So I researched a little and found that Extended Edition is just the two episodes spliced up together with extra seasons mixed in. Is it fine if I just go for the Extended Edition as I dont want to invest twice the time in watching this anime?
There is an entire episode that is cut out and it involves a brutal murder. It's a pivotal point in the story line, but the Extended Edition has that episode cut out. They cut that episode out, assuming audiences already watched Season 1, and didn't explain anything after that, which makes it very confusing for someone who's never watched Season 1. I'd really recommend watching Season 1 first. The Extended Edition is just something you'd watch when you have some free time and want to see some extra scenes.

If I remember correctly. The brutal murder episode was actually aired on the Western air date. The reason they cancelled the JPN episode was because there was actually a real life murder (Same age, 16 year old) that happened during the week that the episode was supposed to air.

Pretty sure the BD does include the storyline if I remember correctly. I watched the Extended Edition BD years ago and I actually would recommend watching Extended Edition first. Since it's pretty much the same, but with new extended scenes and monologue during cutscenes. It's 11 episodes, but condensed into 45+ minutes per episode.
