Description

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Kan, episode 3.

v2 with a normal encode instead of raw Amazon video. No need to redownload—it's not a huge jump in video quality unless you get annoyed at banding easily.

There is an alternate honorifics track in this release. Set your media player to play “enm” language tracks by default to automatically play honorifics tracks.

Since the Sentai subs have been good for 3 weeks in a row (they went back and heavily revised the script for Episode 1), we are switching back to using them as a base next week. Deep thanks to Euric, who has ably discharged his duties as translator.

episode 1 and 2 were encoded from VRV since that's like the only decent source for this show

I would never reencode something as bitstarved as Amazon's current encodes.

There are benefits to doing it (debanding) but if my viewers really want their debanding they can go set up madVR or mpv.

^ Not anymore. AoD is now the best looking source. Starting ep2 they have the same source master Sentai uses (they don't have the issues sources like Crunchyroll have). They also replaced the ep1 video.

Amazon isn't that bad imo. It's watchable if you deband it with mpv.
The point is just that there is barely any benefit encoding it. It's already small in file size compared to VRV/CR.
However, for TBS shows (like this) they have an annoying green tint. In that case I would avoid it.

Usually, you'd pick CR without a second thought. But this show looks unusually bad on CR, or at least it did for ep 1.
