Description

Reason for Edited Version

I couldn't find a complete Rizelmine rip that included Subtitles. All of them had no seeders, and I found Moozzi2's 1440x1080 rip, and went on the hunt for subtitles. I finally found Retrofit's, and they matched up exactly... except...

The ending of each episode is not quite aligned, I think this is due to the Blu-Ray rip vs the DVD rip. Perhaps there is a slight discrepancy in the length of video after the episode end credits. It doesn't matter though, I only really cared about episode content, and that all matched exactly, so I'm good!

So this is a remux of Moozzi2's and Retrofit's, combined into single files for convenience, and renamed ready for Plex/Emby/Jellyfin.

@saringan_slayer - Did I get it wrong again? I thought remuxing was taking the source (in this case Moozzi's), not changing any of the original video/audio, but changing it to my own preferences. In this case adding the Subtitles, and changing the defaults. If I got it wrong again, I'm sorry. That wasn't the intention. I will attempt to spend more time researching.

Remux--> complete lossless Video+Audio from BD Disc as far as I know from it's definition & find other remux like that everywhere
And yours are not lossless Video

@saringan_slayer - Understood. I'll edit the torrent to reflect it. Apologies for the mixup. PS. You're right if you're using absolute numbering for episode numbers. I renamed the files according to https://www.thetvdb.com/series/rizelmine - Plex and Emby have difficulty with absolute numbering, unless you use a source like MyAnimeList. It's only for convenience, not for purity :)

@saringan_slayer
But you're wrong, 'Remux' can also mean exactly what root_user did here.
Descriptions aside, usually people can differentiate between the two usages of the term by, you know, looking at the files in question.

BD/DVD Remux is what sharingan boy said it was
but remux can also be a mix of subtitle of a release on to a video from some other release

Case in point

this is how you name your torrent in such case

But you’re wrong, ‘Remux’ can also mean exactly what root_user did here.

No, it can't be marked a remux unless it's using an untouched source. Read up on scene file naming conventions, the term "remux" specifically refers to untouched rips.

And you're forgetting that a lot of people use automation software like Sonarr or basic RSS feeds to keep track of remuxes and BDMVs, Putting remux in the torrent title causes confusion.

@SeaSmoke , it.s their own fault if someone relies on technology in a technological age . Everyone needs to put some human evaluation into their choices !!

it.s their own fault if someone relies on technology in a technological age

So in a technological age, we shouldn't be relying on technology? That sounds very retarded.

Hey folks. Thanks for all the feedback. Right or wrong, it doesn't really matter. I'm just a small fish, and am willing to abide by what ever rules are in place. I'm by no means an expert, and am happy to defer to the expertise of others. I'm just happy to give back a little bit to a community that had given so much to me. Thanks a lot! I'll continue to upload new releases of any of the rips, remuxes or dumps when I can. I just enjoy sharing with people who share my love of all things anime :D

@root_user It's a pretty simple rule with naming. If the source is untouched (like from a BDMV), it's a remux. If you took an existing encode and added something (like taking a Moozzi encode and adding subs), either don't write anything in the title or write BDrip, and then mention in the description that it's Moozzi's encode with other stuff muxed in. Check out CTR, LostYears and some of SCYs old stuff. They used to do exactly what you're doing so you can use a similar format for titles/description.

@SeaSmoke it seems that you do not understand what irony is and when someone is having a tongue in cheek jibe . However there is truth in the quote "to err is human, but to really stuff things up rely on a machine"

Remux is usually used for "BD Remux" containing the bluray itself. Example https://nyaa.si/?f=0&c=0_0&q=bd+remux
At least that's what I use synonymous with rather than an already encoded source.

While taking another's video source and applying your own subs with or without altering the audio without penalty to lossy and this also includes adding an additional audio track. These don't require the title of the torrent to contain the word "remux" at all as SeaSmoke wrote.

However, it's best to elaborate that it's a remux and where it was obtained in the description (or at least have one in case your hand is cramping and can't write the second portion), so it can remain as a white colored release.

Red entries (remake) are torrents that match any of the following:

  • Reencode of original release.
  • Remux of another uploader's original release for hardsubbing and/or fixing purposes.
  • Reupload of original release using non-original file names.
  • Reupload of original release with missing and/or unrelated additional files.
