Description

I plan to re-encode Case Closed soon and thought Id give a sample episode as a teaser in the meantime. I will make some more improvements when I get around to doing the entire series. This is just a rough draft for now.

I used the Japanese DVD's for the video and Japanese audio, and the USA DVD's for the English audio and subtitles.

You get a MUCH better written encoding script and source, with 8+ more years encoding experience.
You get 5.1 English audio 364kbps, and 2.0 Japanese audio 192kbps compared to both being 70kbps stereo.
You get .ass subtitles instead of .srt subtitles

These make my really old ones from 8+ years ago look and sound like complete crap in comparison.

can you make the size smaller?
considering this will be huge if you plan to encode the whole hundreds episode

Sorry, but its a quality based release like most of my uploads, and its already about at the minimum kbps I usually accept for 480p. I do not like to go below 1700kbps for 480p. I could make it about 35-40MB smaller if I only used stereo audio, but I am using the 5.1 audio.
If it’s too large for you, then I guess you might want to pass on these re-encodes. I do not upload highly compressed video’s.
I was hoping for 350MB, but I cant do it for the episodes with 5.1 audio. They wont all be that large. Only the first 2-3 seasons have 5.1 audio released on DVD. Some episodes will most likely be a bit shorter length too. Even if they were all this size, which they wont be, the entire 5 seasons I will encode will only be about 8-11GB more than my old upload. I doubt they will all make it to 50GB in total. Thats about 1/3-3/7 the size of the DVD VOB's.

@boltzz123 I think the file size is perfect and the quality is excellent but to make this file size any smaller would kill the quality..
