Guilty Crown (2011) [BD 720p Hi10P AAC dual-audio] [kuchikirukia] V2

Saved on 2020-08-27 14:20:19. This copy includes the description and comments available at capture.

Description

I got tired of carrying around and seeding a 36GB upscale so I did a 720. This downscaled back to 720 pretty much perfectly. Source has a ton of dither so it requires a high bitrate to keep it from blocking and the lines from sparkling.
Coalgirls subs. Honorifics were added, insert songs were removed, along with OP subs. (they’re in the signs track if you want them)
Ordered chapters. NCED's for eps 2-11 and the creditless ending for 22 were inserted into the episodes. (they're all different)

V2 fixes NCOP 1 + 1A. This time they've actually 4:4:4. (I changed my script for testing and forgot to change it back for the encode)

Comments 32

Dither_convert_8_to_16 ()
ly=debicubicy(1280,720,lsb_inout=true,b=0.0,c=0.5)
lc = dither_resize16(1280 * 2,720 * 2, src_left=0.3,kernel="spline36")
lu = lc.utoy()
lv = lc.vtoy()
ytouv(lu,lv,ly)
convertfromstacked()

into an --input-depth 16 --input-csp i444 --output-csp i444 command line

The remainder of the content besides NCOP 1 and 1A was a simple:

Dither_convert_8_to_16 ()
debicubic(1280,720,lsb_inout=true,b=0.0,c=0.5)
convertfromstacked()

into an -input-depth 16 command line.

I can already tell you that that's likely wrong from my tests not too long ago. It seems to be using some form of lanczos, based on ringing around some lines that seemed unlike (sane) bicubic values. Obviously the BDMV wasn't sharpened either, else you'd see far more obvious patterns. It's hard to tell what's actually being used 100% though, considering how starved the BDMV is (god, NCOP2 in particular looked awful). also please, switch over to VS already :^(

Do you know why people downloads small encoded animes instead of gigantic BDMW's or 50 Gb Bdrips? Because many people just want to watch the fucking anime without too much hassle.

Seeing you blurting gibberish at every release is making me cringe man. You act like you trained under Encoding masters at Mt Fuji.
It's just an anime and its purpose is to past time. Nobody cares about lanczos or "(sane) bicubic values" or vapoursynth. And nobody cares about the minuscule changes these settings does.

Do you even have any life? If you don't then get one please.

very decent quality but the size doesn't make much sense honestly
[SCY] release seems to be better in terms of quality and smaller size
https://nyaa.si/view/991184
don't mean to offend only downloaded "compatibility opening 1A.mkv" for comparison, thank you for your hard work

Edit: just noticed the size of the file, my bad "IQ of a furry"

Uhhh... those compatibility openings are only there for people with players that don't work with the 4:4:4 openings. They're CRF 23 so of course they're terrible. You're not supposed to use them unless you have to. That's all in the text file.

And SCY's release is dead.

@Pirate71 you're right, but in this case they're actually going for the "trained under Encoding masters at Mt Fuji." besides there're releases for everyone at all different types of filesizes. Let everyone do what they want in their segment

I'm not sure why people hate quality, especially when it's not hurting anyone.

edit: How does kuchikirukia's comment sections always turn into a war lmao

@Simplistic it started 2 years ago when kuchikirukia released the same anime show without giving any gratitude to scyrous for literally taking his release and just slapping some minor changes and then calling it a piece of art. I think that caused Scyrous to report and kick kuchikirukia from animebytes, could be wrong it was 2 years ago after all.

His remux: 48GB missing the OVA.
Mine: 36GB with the OVA.
I'm just a little bit better at this.

And now I've done the series in 19GB.

not to be an autist, but...

lc = Dither_resize16(1280, 720, y=1, csp="YV24", kernel="spline36")
lu = lc.utoy()
lv = lc.vtoy()

Leaving out honorifics gives him more free time.

Fun story, the first time I watched an anime with honorific'ed subs, I legitimately thought that the TL'r had a stroke while subbing the show.

Why do I always see kuchikirukia comments pop up in my twitter feed?
Also, congrats @Pirate71, your retarded statements have made you the next nyaa meme.

Can't help but notice that Light was attempting to not be toxic and give actual advice, but someone just had to go ahead the jinx the convo

Well on other hand you act like you were trained under being dumb masters at Mt Fuji.
Why even bother downloading anime when you have 189674957832 sites that did that for you and are happy to stream it to you. (lot of them even ad free)
