@cnd, yeah its a big episode, but the animation is quite unique compared to the others. We have also compared to some other x265 encodes and its smaller then most still.

@Judas Will you ever release stuff with FLAC audio? Your quality is fairly good to have as an archive, but the Opus audio is the only thing that puts me off.

Flac audio has no sense in mini-encodes, it can come bigger than the video. I only kept the original audio for OPs and EDs

i think opus audio becomes good with better speakers

Technically herkz is correct. Just because some other things flew under the radar doesn't give you a pass to break the rules too. There is no such thing as a 720p DVD that isn't an upscale, so you've either gotten a DVDISO and upscaled which breaks the rules, or found someone else's encode that breaks the rules. Either way you've failed to read the rules which aren't even that long. Since I'm unfortunately here because you literally admitted to breaking the rules in your own description I'm going to have to ask you to address this. In the future if you want to break the rules at least don't admit it so I don't have to get reports about it and thus care.

We're currently re encoding the episode in question and forcing it to 576p. We will delete this torrent and re release as soon as it has completed. I hope that's okay.

I didn't ask you to delete anything. I want you to acknowledge the issue and follow the rules in the future is all. It seems to be one episode so I'm just going to let it stay here as red since another admin is much more lenient than I am and said to let it slide if you acknowledge the rules.

I'd like to apologise on behalf of the Judas team for this mistake, we have read the rules thoroughly before, however made the mistake of releasing anyway without redoing the episode, as we felt that as long as we highlighted the issue, given it was only a single episode, that it would be okay. I understand that this was the incorrect choice to make, and we will make sure to step much more carefully in future.

Thank you for acknowledging the issue. In general it isn't like I want to pick on you or anyone in particular, but I have to try to enforce the rules at least somewhat or they'd be pointless and we'd be flooded by low quality upscales which I don't think anyone wants. As for an updated episode, that's up to you, it isn't required but if you want to give people a choice that's fine too.

@ everyone complaining about DVD up-scales, How closely did you watch season 1 in this release? Did you notice the aliased speed lines 8 seconds into episode 1? Was it not obvious to you that, yes even though it was an official Blu-Ray release, it was just a digital upscale of the DVD release?

As a videophile I like the fact that DVD upscales claiming to be 720/1080p are against the rules on Nyaa, but some of you are just ridiculous in your expectations.

Ooooh I didn't know there's a rule for that.

There are two versions of S1 OP 01a, which as far as I can tell are just duplicates, though they have different checksums due to having different dates in the mkv metadata.

Edit: I can confirm that they're identical as I compared the raw (extracted) streams from each. Figured I'd let everyone know!
Edit 2: Also, in season 4 extras, the file [Judas] To Love-Ru - S3.mkv seems to actually be NCED 02.

I got almost 400GB on my crappy internet on the JoJo batch alone, not to mention over few TB of the complete Gintama, FMA Brotherhood, Initial-D and HxH 2011...
We need to seed, not just leech people. anime needs to be kept alive, as sites are being put down.

ver2 of Darkness OVA 9 uses non doki subs for some reason, which are vastly inferior
I suggest muxing doki ones in ver2, since quality of the video is better

as for multiplications (OVA10), audio is desync and so are subs. Both around 500ms.
