Web-DL from HiDive.
Thanks to KiyoshiStar for getting the subs.
Gaiden episodes will follow in a day or two but the movies will take a little longer as HiDive only has the upscaled versions so I'll try to get an encode from the actual HD version on the JPBD done some time soon.

@H94. Woah I didn't think they were slaves. More like servants to degenerate consumers who don't deserve great content like the ones @RebelNotorious comes out with, but not slaves. Rebel has complete freedom to do anything... Like work on Gundam for example.

Is this English Dub?
The original Legend of the Galactic Heroes OVA doesn’t have an English dub.
Do you know if this is a full re-sub or they just fixed the old central anime subs

jk, your release is the best quality. on top of that, it has the best subs, because the guy seems to know how to translate war talk and terms very well. he keeps the feeling of every sentence, which is very hard in any sub jap to eng.
How does this compare to the MTBB release with Sentai’s subs people ask. I checked it. Slight video improvement, but the subs are the best there are. Compared with 5 releases.
MTBB's release and this have the same subs.
Motbob typo corrected the subs so technically they are slightly better.
Motbob's release uses BD souce so it also looks better while being smaller in size.
No chapters on this release, font is smaller with larger black outline, and there are black borders at the sides to fit 4:3 to 16:9.
There is also a Hidive logo at the start that adds a few seconds
