THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Thanks for Subs!!!
I'm guessing this is a reencode like your other releases but which parts came from Kawaiika-Raws/ReinForce and which parts are from the BDMVs?
BDMV's are used for Video/Audio encode. Timed subs & mini are from Kawaiika-Raws. I had PV from ReinForce but not included in the release. I'll remove that from the source thou...
Nice, thank you
I wonder why the quality I see in x265 releases varies that much, this release looks amazing but other ones with the same file size look like trash
x265 is a lot more complex than x264 and has more parameters and tweaks affecting quality / compression efficiency. So encoders need more experience with the codec and/or more patience with testing different codec settings especially with the way higher processing power needed for x265.
Also efficiency highly depends on animation style. x265 is really good at compressing "flat" animation. While it tends to blur out fine detail (like film grain).
And lastly the way x265 just gets more and more blurry with stronger compression instead of producing "annoying artifacts" the range between "trash" and "still watchable" gets wider and probably depends more on personal taste.
Yeah, for example I personally absolutely love LittleBakas! release of SukaSuka in x265 even when I'm not a fan of the codec.
