Description

These encodes were supplied by someone on the DCTP forums who has since disappeared. I have been using their translations as the ultimate foundation for Baaro subs but they need HEAVY EDITING to clean up the Engrish as well as at least a light translation check. (The subtitles are the studio translations provided by TMS to dubbers. They are somewhat sloppy ESL translations, but generally quite literal and made directly from the shooting scripts.) They aired on the Los Angeles broadcast television station KSCI, sub-channel 2, UTB Hollywood, from 2013-2016.

Some episodes are defective. I'm sorry, but this is literally everything I have. They are exactly as received except for filename.

A friend advised me to torrent them. Being now almost 4 years removed from any contact with the source, it's probably safe, and could probably get me a few more eyes since OCRing this many episodes, or worse, transcribing them manually, is about a pain in the neck.

Cool, it's always good to share this kind of stuff. There are still people working on softsubs for the series, hopefully this will help

@MeganimeFansub: If I had just the subs I'd be cleaning them up to put on better raws.

@Judas: I hope so too. These translations need a lot of editing but they're much better than a lot of the fansubs.

@sarachikorita Any plans to do the 30th Anniversary BDs of DBZ or might know of anyone who has any plans for them? I know they're shitty, but still it would be nice to store a decent release of them.

@Yusei573: I'm relying on Puto's advice before I do anything DBZ these days.

@danielpc2013: That would make a reasonably good stopgap release, I think, which we really need for those episodes because oh geez, anything's better than AnimeNoobs...

@sarachikorita: Can you tell me whether it's safe to assume that "last modified" dates on your server are release dates for those files? If so, which timezone your server is in? I'd like to correct release dates on AniDB if deemed necessary. Thanks in advance. ^^

I don't think so. I'm not even sure all the MKV multiplex dates (mkvinfo filename.mkv | grep "Date:") are their airdates, and I know some are later airings.

(FWIW, I'm pretty sure my server is set for New York time, because that's my own timezone.)
