Downloaded, i'm accustomed to download from other subs, where this weekly chapters have a size about 1.5 GiB, 1.1 GiB the least i saw, but i think they use x264, is the quality similar to that and the gains are because of the more efficient codec x265 or just the bit rate is just much lower?

Mostly due to the more efficient codec, though this does mean that it takes a significant amount longer to encode.
