Really this is just the Elysium release that was made available back in 2011, but with a few changes to the subs to fix some nagging issues:

  • Klaus/Kraus/Claus's name is written differently in Episode 13 compared to the rest of the show. To be consistent I changed it to Kraus
  • The usage of senpai/sempai is inconsistent. Senpai is more common in these subs so I changed instances of sempai to senpai
  • The timings for the Japanese karoake in the Ep 2 OP were off, those are fixed now
  • There were a few instances of text floating awkwardly off the bottom of the screen, which have been addressed
  • In a few episodes, the font included was missing a character for "~", those have been fixed
  • There was a と in the OP karaoke that should have been a ど, that's been corrected

Overall, though, the original release is preserved.

very nice... this was cute and not too awful. i probably have Elysium's release in my extensive digital anime library... thanks for sharing, it'll be good to see again!

@calcifer sorry it's not just a .bat file or something. That probably would have been simpler for everyone involved.
I realize I uploaded this as anonymous before starting to reply. I'll keep checking this every few days. If anyone finds issues that I can help with please reply here and I'll see what I can do.

is it just me who got CRC32 mismatch? i already tried to do a force rescan but files are incorrect:

are those crc32 hash is from old files / not after you fixes it?

It's very likely the hashes are not correct; I didn't check that when I updated things, and since some files required embedding a new font in addition to minor changes to the script, that could have had an effect. If it's keeping you from being able to download I'll probably take this down and figure out how to actually do that.

nah don't take this down. imo giving a list of episode with the new crc32 should be enough (just in case someone wanted to check the hash)

So I kinda forgot to correct the checksums. Also I made a typo in Ep 6 (snmpai). After today I'll upload a V2 to correct these issues.

Here's the full list of things I'm planning on looking into for a 2020 V2

Smnpai (ep 6)
Millivets should probably be millipedes (ep 9)
The french is wrong for Servant deu feu, aparently (check the wiki)
Bugle seems to get written as trumpet in the script, check against what the japs actually say
Change spelling of Illya to match the book in ep 10
Sub formatting in ep 10 during that one bit where Kureha is talking
no servante du feu at all in ep 12
In ep 13, the red text returns, but has an echo behind the spoken dialogue. Check when this red text formatting is used, and then check that it also has this echo. This seems like the most appropriate time to use it. Also check that during the Jacquette flashback in ep 10, that this red text is used. If normal text and no echo in audio, then you should probably change Kureha's red text to default.
Check S is capitalized in Senpai. Try to decide based on context if it should be capitalized or not. Lean towards lowercase. If used as a proper noun, capitalized? If an honorific (e.g. Rio-senpai), lowercased? Who cares?
Why is no-mansland not capitalized around 19:30 in ep 13? Is it always capitalized or not?
Compare overall quality against PWQ (do this first)
Redo the checksums (ONLY WHEN YOU FINISH EVERYTHING ELSE)

If anyone has any suggested changes I'm not listing, please post here and we can talk about it. Remember that the spirit of these changes is just to address weird issues with formatting/inconsistency in the original [Elysium] release; it's not a full retranslation (I'm a dekinai). I'll probably disregard broad suggestions like "so-and-so idiom is not translated correctly".

I DIDN'T FORGET! I just got lazy and also I have a very annoying cat. Now that I have a week off from work and I'm having a friend watch the cat for a week, I'm planning on getting this done before end of Thursday. Most of the discrete items are handled, and I'm just watching through now to catch anything that's weird/better in the PWQ release. Hopefully no more embarrassing typos like smnpai.
