There's a lot of volumes but a shame it's missing the earlier ones with the Saban dub of the Saiyan arc.

Still, that's an impressive amount of work done for free.

I did see Saban era volumes pop up but they weren't as much a priority as their DVD counterpart was already a complete version. Cell Games is the only one incomplete here as they seem to be the hardest to find, but they'll still be done one day whenever I manage to get them.

Excuse my ignorance but what would be the difference with the counterparts on DVD (even if there was none, I thank to @DragoonClawNZ and @JySzE for sharing so unusual content)

@dragonballlover They're all Edited, except for final Cell Games as that never got an Edited release at all.

@Wolfness Above, this version is different from DVD, it has the TV edited version.

One thing to note: The Madman VHS of the Cell Games are the ONLY ONES ever to have Dale Kelly's narration for ALL volumes of the Cell Games. It's only available on Toonami recordings otherwise, which aren't as high quality as the VHS tapes are in terms of both audio and video. Though the Madman VHS only has 1 Recap and Preview per tape, so the missing recaps and previews still need to be obtained via CN recordings.

AND they are all edited! Amazing. Obviously, Volumes 6 to 9 of the Cell Games never got an Edited release, so yeah, the last Cell Games one is Uncut.

I'll fix one bit: The Uncut one doesn\t have Kelly for Madman VHS' Cell Games, but a possible Edited version may have it, but i highly doubt that exists, seeing as Volumes 5 of the 9 were released in Edited Form for the FUNimation tapes.

Quality on these are pretty good considering, I love the chapter marks. My favorite thing about the early funimation dvds was you just stuck the disk in and enjoyed a solid hour of DBZ, but starting with the Captain Ginyu (vol 2.1 here) they started separating the videos making it useless to rip and enjoy. Now with these you can have the entire series in this format, just like the old days. Thanks!

@SylentEcho I scanned the covers for all the volumes I have, though a good portion were ex-rentals and a few have rips, so they're not exactly clean. I'll get it organized later.

@SylentEcho JySzE's uploaded the scans into another torrent here. They're raw 600dpi scans, haven't touched them so it's pretty big.

I've not downloaded but those screenshots look really good! FUNimation made a tremendous mistake fucking up with the aspect ratio and trying to clean the picture as much as possible, to pretend it's a new show.

Casual fans like the Season Sets and even call it "amazing".

You know, it's pretty cool, when you think how far we've all come. I knew of some of you since way back in 2006/07. A guy called DatFatPat told me on MFG, that there were people working on rips and sharing DB stuff online. Good to see the old crowd still so active.

Do any of you guys have scans of the outer sleeve, as in the one in which all these VHSs go into and forms a collage? Those have never, ever been scanned, if I remember correctly.

heh Yep, Cartoon World days, certainly a lot has happened since. Don't have any of the outer sleeve scans sadly, doubt Madman even bothered with boxsets for the VHS release. They did for the DVDs though.

Damn, that sucks. I hope we get scans of either of those some day.

I've just started seeding this (after uTorrent finishes checking) if it can help, should have done it from the start. I'm hoping it can help as my network setup isn't the best when it comes to seeding. Had to rename a couple of the files as I had two different tape captures of Ginyu - Double Cross and Imperfect Cell - Discovery.
