Description

Legend of the Galactic Heroes

Don't watch the episode previews. But I suppose I'm giving this advice a few cours too late.

As a reminder, this release is below my typical subtitle quality standards.

The comments in the previous release said that the subs you used don't have name captions.
Would say those are important in watching this series?

The show has many characters. So many that you will sometimes hear the name of a character mentioned and think "who the heck is that." Captions might help minimize this phenomenon.

But when it comes to the characters that are worth paying attention to, the show does a good enough job of teaching you their names without the use of captions. At least, that was my experience watching without captions.

No, it's stuff like these two images (minor spoilers): https://imgur.com/a/bIjuvTf

Note that this is from episode 87, where everyone watching already knows who Reuental is since he's like the 6th most important character. Not only that, but the dialogue mentions his name right before the caption, making it especially unnecessary. So someone who wanted to do a release with captions would probably need to make decisions about which captions are useful (but obtrusive) and which are just obtrusive.

That's where the titles appeared on the LDs. We minimized the number of titles, only including them when someones rank changed or a new person appear. Also at the beginning of each new season, and each coincided with the LD placement.

Great work!

The PV reminds me of Gundam 0079. Where they literally spoil the plot of the next episode. They even showed a character's death before the episode even aired?

Guess back then they never cared about spoilers.

Thanks for this! I'm guessing next one should be the final one :)

Will you be doing the movies as well :D
