interesting ... introducing a true hermaphrodite character (that is the actual correct scientific name for the condition) ... intersexual is the common politically correct term normally used nowadays ... true hermaphrodites are extremely rare in humans (not so in other species)

it was a pleasant surprise that they used this for Luca, instead of the "gender identity disorder" excuse being used by some people so that they can get surgically altered into a person of the opposite sex

the whole "who set them up to die" mystery is getting interesting also ... this series started out looking like it was just going to be a humorous "survival" story ... but it is turning into one hell of a good story :-)
