As to that, I am unlikely to do a weekly show under MTBB for the foreseeable future, but I'm hoping to do movies if possible.

Nauti are doing fansubs for this show if official subs aren’t doing it for you.

wasn't half the reason he did this because funi had blurry video while other sources were fine? if so, nauti's not really a viable alternative since their encodes are garbage.

having way less bitrate (or maybe because of the heavy denoising) definitely killed a lot of detail in some of those comparisons where it's not just flat colors. just look at the line on the guy's shoulder in the 9th comparison. that line is completely fucked in their encode. HEVC is still not a good meme.

At any rate, it might still be better-looking than Funi due to the source, and it's certainly a better encode than HS's rip overall when you take into account filesize efficiency.

presumably anyone who cares about video quality wouldn't find either acceptable, so being better than another bad encode is meaningless.

IMO, don't badmouth Funi. If Funi is a bad encode in terms of fidelity, then I don't know where you're going to find a good encode (outside of AoD or wakanim DL).

TBH, Nauti could just take neko's encode.
