the original script is filled with memes but they're all lost in TL that has no such flair. that's too bad because the movie itself is so enjoyable.

IMFAO what makes this movie so entertaining is their dialogues. Subaru does all the teenage talk and others are firing back at him with an array of punchlines of their own. The script also mimics Emilia-tan's poor understanding, though in pretense, of Subaru's otaku speech. But I don't see any slang words or puns or slick metaphors in good English, American or royal British, in these subs at all, not to mention that some lines might have been totally mistranslated. Rezero is an otaku anime and it would be nice to watch the movie with stylish English dialogues in the subs. It will take some efforts on your part but without a style, the script becomes so dead and boring.
