Encoded Stages 1-6 of the Initial D series into high quality MKV h.264 format with English, and Japanese audio, along with English Subtitles as well.
Encoded the Initial D - Extra Stages 1 & 2 OVA into high quality MKV h.264 format with both English and Japanese audio, along with English Subtitles as well.
Encoded the Initial D - Battle Stages 1 & 2 OVA into high quality MKV h.264 format with Japanese audio, and with English Subtitles as well.
Stages 5 and Final were never dubbed, so those only have Japanese audio with English subtitles.
Extra Stage 2 was never dubbed, so it only has Japanese audio with English subtitles.
For playback all you need is the proper codec or media player if you don’t already have it.
Combined Community Codec Pack or the K-Lite Codec pack should give you all you need and more to play these back.
If you do not wish to install a codec pack, a modern Media Player such as MPC-HC or VLC Media Player should come bundled with everything you need.

I was planning on downloading this series a month and a half or so ago. I was dissapointed when I could only fine SD releases of the complete series.
I randomly decided that todays the day I'd download it, and, what do ya know! An HD version uploaded, on this very day!

Is it worth to wait for 1080p at all? I mean how much stages are actually was 1080p originally?

nami86: only Fifth and Final stages are native, the rest are just upscales (except 3rd that is a true remaster)
so, this one will be basically the same on 720p and 1080p for the First, Second and Fourth stages

In my opinion, only for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Final Stages. I'd grab the rest from this one or the 480p release.
I will repeat what I said in my other uploads comments.
"Until better remasters or Blu-Ray releases come out, Id recommend watching like this. Unless 1080p that looks like it was scaled up, yet still looks acceptable does not bother you. Then by all means, just get all 1080p.
First = 480p/720p scaled
Second = 480p/720p scaled
Third = 720p/1080p (Remaster or Blu-Ray release looks more than nice enough to suggest in HD)
Fourth = 480p/720p/1080p (480p if you want grainy details in tact, 720p or 1080p if you want clearer picture, but lost details from DNR)
Fifth = 720p/1080p (Definitely HD animated and meant to be seen as such)
Final = 720p/1080p (Definitely HD animated and meant to be seen as such)
Extra = 480p/720p scaled
Extra 2 = 480p/720p
Battle = 480p/720p scaled
Battle 2 = 480p/720p/1080p (Same reason as Fourth)"
Still waiting for 1080p. But thank you for the 720p.
Thanks for this! Honestly, I think 720p is better for the series. Unless you want to watch the Legend Movies. Which any plans on that as well?
Then again, I don't think it's a priority since iAHQ provided a 1080p BD already.

Keep up in my forum or discord for that kind of information. I have stated all my plans for those 3 movies and anything else I have plans for at the moment. That information has actually been available since I first started this Initial D project. That's something planned for after the series is finished in 1080p.

Mine will definitely be MUCH more bitrate than those 3 you linked to. I think a little over 3000kbps video is WAY too low for a good 1080p encode. The audio tracks are bigger than the video track and that's sad. I'm betting that it is very compressed looking and will definitely show in the quality of the output. It might as well be a minimkv in my opinion. It's probably fine for those whom don't care about that kind of quality, but I don't do highly compressed video. Just keep your patience level up. The complete series comes first.

did this have music only for battle stage 2?been looking everywhere,but still not found it..only found battle stage 1 music only...

Same issue in another DVD release I have, but much less pronounced.
anything above 480/576p for Season 1-2, are terrible upscales. 576p is probably resolution in which it was animated at.

That is no longer true about being terrible upscales. Go look at my new Second Stage 1080p V2 releases. I put my older ones to shame, and I am currently working on doing the same for First Stage as well.
