Description

1080p ReinForce Raws + Commie/YameteTomete subs (unedited source subs included as secondary track)

Some retiming done by me.

Some terminology swapped out for proper terminology:
Heavenrend > Ame-no-Habakiri
swan song/superb song > Superb Song
battle harmonics > Set Harmonics
Ma’am > Mom

Some lyrics redone to match later releases.

Let me know if I missed/fucked anything up (specifically instances of Heavenrend, they’re fucking everywhere).

GX and AXZ will be uploaded after I finish QCing the timings (read:rewatching the series with my roommate). Should only be a few days.

Some terminology swapped out for proper terminology:

Heavenrend > Ame-no-Habakiri

i don't follow

Oooo, nice! I'm two episodes from finishing S1, so I'll definitely be looking into this. It's mildly annoying to hear "Ame no Habikiri" and read "Heavenrend".

Commie/YameteTomete subs

Does this mean that there's a universe where we actually get work done

It’s mildly annoying to hear “天羽々斬” and read “Heavenrend”.

Fixed that for you, friend.

No meme though

There's a perfectly valid reasoning for choosing swan song over superb song (the latter sounds fucking terrible)

But I wouldn't translate ame-no-habakiri to heavenrend for the same reason I wouldn't translate Gungnir to swaying one or Yukine Chris to Snow-Sound Chris

This added to the fact that Heavenrend even fails to pay homage to the actual historical/mythological meaning of the term makes it something that sounds cool but isn't really a great translation choice

well, most translations of the thing ame-no-habakiri comes from (kojiki) do translate it and all the other names, so it's actually not that unusual. it's not really a name in the sense you'd normally think. you should think of it more like a title, which you would of course translate. on the other hand, "yukine" doesn't have any special meaning, so translating it is pointless. now, what you should translate it as is certainly subjective, but i don't think it's a very informed opinion to say it shouldn't be translated at all.

Thanks for replacing some of the English subtitles with Japanese. Personally, if you absolutely had to do this you could've made it a secondary subtitle track for the weebs.

Ame-no-Habakiri is the title used for Tsubasa's gear in every form of this media save for Commie subs.

Gungnir, Odin's Spear, isn't translated as "swaying one".
Igalima and Shul Sagana (Shulsaga) are both Sumerian deities so they aren't translated.
Airgetlam isn't translated as "Silver Arm".
Shénshòujìng isn't translated as "God Beast Mirror".
Ame-no-Habakiri's, one of Susanoo's swords, proper translation is something akin to "Snake-Slayer", not "Heavenrend".
Ichaival is an interesting issue, it actually seems to be based off an improper wikipedia article of all things. Seems it's actually "Yewfelle" from Fire Emblem.

If other media used Heavenrend, or if any of the other relics were translated, I would have kept Heavenrend. Clearly, neither of those things were true.

EDIT: Also, Commie's subs are included as a secondary track. Episodes 1-10 should be mostly fine, but episodes 11-13 I had to do some pretty extensive work on. Feel free to use those if you'd like.

you think you could also upload tracks using subs from crunchyroll for the first 3 seasons, they still hadn't uploaded AXZ still for some reason.

Just an update: I'm currently uploading it to a friend's seed box to cut download times for everyone. I'll make it public later tonight. AXZ qc in progress.
