Thanks to those who downloaded my Onimonogatari Subs (https://nyaa.si/view/1133429), here is Koimonogatari as promised.

Fixed Rush Job’s BD version of Commie’s Koimonogatari Subtitles (Cause Commie dropped Monogatari Season 2 BD half way)
This torrent is 95% identical to Rush Job’s retimed ver. and is meant for those who prefer Commie’s Monogatari Subs over Coal Girls but wished it was more complete.

Things changed:

  • Retimed certain obvious mistakes.
  • Replaced several Insert Card (those text flashes that the Monogatari Series is famous for) with their correct translation ones.
  • Corrected the positioning of certain subtitles to fit the BD ver.
  • Added more background subtitles for continuity sake.
  • Change certain words to fit the tone of the show (Granted it was very funny to see commie translate "Kaiki-oniichan, peace, peace!" into "Peace, Brother Kaiki, Peace!").
  • Added the Preview (Karen & Tsukihi <3) subtitles from Coal Girls in the style of Commie.
  • Replaced certain fonts to make it more indicative of the Commie Style from the other Monogatari Season 2 BD that they have done.
  • Made an OP for 'Fast Love' (EP 1 - 3) and redid the 'Kogarashi Sentiment' OP (EP 3 - 6) to fix all the clipping mask issues and make it more thematically suitable.
  • Added subtitles of audio commentary for EP 1 that I found online(Cant trace the origin). Redid the fonts and fixed spelling and grammatical errors.

Subs appended into mkv but also in separate folder for those who may already have a suitable encode downloaded. Download which ever you may need.

I did my best but if anyone is able to find any mistakes (Audio delay/Subtitle out of sync/Mistranslations/Missing fonts/Even something as simple as a subtitle lingering 0.20s longer that is should) please comment the mistake and the time stamp so I may fix it. The audio commentary for EP 1 was particularly riddled with spelling errors, so I really would like some feedback on that. Also please consider seeding for others.

For those who read till the end, I will keep this and my Onimonogatari torrent active for a few days (starting from when this post is made). During which I will be collecting feedback on both my subs and fixing them. After which, I will either release both of them on new separate posts or together in a batch with the rest of the Monogatari Series Second Season. I haven't decided, so I would like to hear your opinion on that too.

i'll gladly download a full batch with all the episodes but I do not understand why you used seed raws as a base. The encoder chose .mp4 for some weird reason, that doesn't look good at all to me. Also I'm all in for less bloat but, even though I'm no encoder expert, these episodes are a little bitstarved.
I'd strongly suggest to find a better raw.
I'll gladly take your subtitles though.

Thanks for your feedback. Honestly I am not well verse enough to know the various quality of encodes. I choose it because it was well package and had the most downloads. Therefore my version of the subs would cater to most users. It was also a suitable files size for me and came with audio commentaries. I am sure there are better encodes out there, but I just pick Seed-Raws for my needs. I will try to look for a better encode for the full batch. If you or anyone could recommend one, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I kind of want to keep it at 720p if possible but VCB-S only has 1080p. Pardon my ignorance but is there a general preference for HEVC or AVC? HEVC seems to store at much smaller space and claims to retain quality just as well. If HEVC is acceptable, how does https://nyaa.si/view/1089679 fare? It should have the 10bit depth that everyone wants. If AVC is still preferred, would https://nyaa.si/view/944781 be okay?
