Episode 6, the halfway point of Kakegurui××, is here! As always, there are two subtitle tracks--one without honorifics and with names in English order, and the other with honorifics and names in Japanese order.

We recommend using a decent media player. Seriously, we tested this episode out in VLC and the episode lagged during a particularly complicated sign. DDY has a guide to getting set up with MPV here, or you can grab ccp from ninite. Enjoy!

I agree with Scyrous why are still using the 720p? Also why not just put ‘[720p]’ in the filenames instead of “.mkv [720p]”?

@Inokori Do you have a timestamp/ is it on the honorifics track or the non? We're not seeing it on our copy. EDIT: VLC seems to have some problems, if you're using that, it might be worth looking for a replacement.
@Dizzee We'll probably doing that a bit later, it was late enough that we decided to get the 720p out the door and take a look at 1080p when we had more time/internet bandwidth.

What's the point with 1080p, as afaik it's just an upscale and the anime wasn't actually mastered at resolutions over 720p? The 1080p has no more detail than the 720p does. The only benefit it has is the slightly higher bitrate, and even that benefit is watered down due to the pointless upscale hogging up some of the the bits. It's 2019, why can't the streaming sites already figure out that they'd get a far superior quality by combining 720p resolution with 1080p filesize (=higher available bitrate)? Wouldn't take them any more bandwidth than the pointless 1080p upscales they currently do.

@Kryo, Apparently the 1080p release is an upscaled 810p for this show. We'd be happy to just release an 810p version, we just need to figure out how to operate x264, it turns out there's not a lot of knowledge share out there on encoding...

Yes, for that I prefer 900p or native resolution, but anime is released only at 1080p/720p/480p. It's fuck me up.
It need to be redo at 810p from BDMV, at least, when it's available.

I've never, to this day, seen the level of detail in 1080p be superior visually to 720p with animated video content.

@dnbdave watch it on a large enough screen, you'll notice. That's why I stick to 1080p now. A properly encoded 1080p file looks vastly superior to anything less.

I think I'd better use Japan subtitles to translate it properly myself without smiles etc, you use, 'cause it's too heavy to wait so long and without schedule. I wish you people never offend Mizore... because at least his/her translation was in time...

@Arbuz Not sure what you're on about (you obviously don't speak English anyway) but nauti have always released wednesday nights, until now that is.

How does it look like mister translator? There's 21:16 atm. Can I expect the upload today or should I wait till tommorow?

You're fucking retarded. They aren't delayed because of translations, they are delayed because most of the people here asked for Erai raws 1080p video. I personally don't care if they use Ohys so we can get this done already, but at least understand why they are delayed before spreading your retarded bullshit online.
