Yes, the BD for Part 2 was really bad, it was heavily denoised among other things.
Neo1024 in his infinite stupidity decided the best thing to do was to "re-add" the grain (also known as just adding fake grain via a filter) to the video, bloating the file size and continuing to further damage what details remained.

It's the same as taking a tree, scraping the bark off, then trying to "fix it" by carving a roughly bark-like pattern into the wood below; you're not fixing the issue, only making it worse.

Hence why the Neo1024 release has what appears to be original film grain, but the actual lines and edges themselves appear far blurrier and distorted

Thankfully a 480p downscale of the BD exists, both it and the DVD releases have their pros and cons, BD of having missing and damaged details, the DVDs for having off color, and many of them being rather poor and somewhat blurry

thank you very much, i don't mind watching this lovely adventure of rupan sansi at 720p, at least it's better than the 73 gigs release.

Scaling a 1970s TV show that was not in HD up to 720p and adding a noise filter does not make it HD. That's so retarded. Also it would have been nice if the creator of this torrent added an audio track of the English dub instead of being a typical elitist weeb who hates dubs and wants to force their tastes on everyone. Yet another shitty incomplete Lupin torrent.

Can you please just release the raw fucking blu-ray? I have checked so many private trackers and websites. Not a SINGLE one has the raw Blu-Ray uploaded only your shitty downscales with bloat fake grain

Despite the fake grain, this is still the best version of part II out there, unless someone encodes the Discotek DVDs, which still have off color.
