no. it's best to forget such a movie exists.

That is an over-statement, mostly. The prince of darkness is confusing, yes, because there's a SEGA Saturn game THE BLANK OF THREE YEARS that is meant to play before watching the film. However, I enjoyed it fully without playing the game at all, they give almost all the necessary information on what happened between TV and film, and the watcher is supposed to link them by themselves. However the story doesn't even end in the film, because there is still THE MISSION, a game for SEGA Dreamcast that is actually the real ending of the whole thing. Luckily - if one knows Japanese - they made two books about the game which tell the rest of the story with screenshots and all info - haven't purchased them yet, though so I have no idea what the real ending is. Nevertheless, Tpod is an excellent film that even won awards and totally worth watching.

The movie makes sense(he basically goes nuts with worry/fear/saddness), its a shame they won't reboot it all and do the full story....I'd rather have that than EVA.....
