There were four original translations for this show in addition to HIDIVE's official translation that HS ripped because HIDIVE's translation was that bad.
Those white artifacts look like aliasing and it's a problem with the source, but the show also suffers from a bad upscale. An encoder is supposed to fix problems in the source with filtering, not just encode with ffmpeg or x264/x265. Try using an anti-aliasing filter and it should be gone, or better yet, descale to the native res, reupscale with a superior resizing algorithm THEN apply anti-aliasing, but descaling this show is really difficult because the native res isn't constant.

I usually use https://github.com/HomeOfVapourSynthEvolution/vsTAAmbk for dealing with aliasing.
Try a simple "aa = taa.TAAmbk(src, aatype='Eedi3')" in your vapoursynth script and it might be fixed if it's just aliasing and not due to the bad upscale.

• The shitty translation isn't your fault. Thankfully there are alternatives that can be easily used.
• Your choice of text color is not great but easily fixable. Grey on Grey is NOT a good choice for readability. There's a reason for this picture: https://i.imgur.com/pQjoQ.png You don't have to do exactly this style (many fansubs don't and are still easy to read), but your current drop shadow setting is too low in certain situations. • The video issue is minor as I mentioned but I did in the interest of helping you improve your encoding.

I appreciate that PA-Subs and yourself are both trying to help Kamyne with their 'encodes', but for people like this your efforts are going to be unfortunately wasted. Kamyne doesn't seem to care that their 'releases' are terrible, if that wasn't already apparent. Make sure to block 'Sumire-kun', 'Shiori-chon', 'Saki-san', 'Teru-chan', 'Ran-han' and 'Awai-chin' in your RSS downloader since Kamyne uses multiple accounts and tags for no good reason.

This isn't hate, but this is the worst possible text color you could use and it's very hard to read. Use white with a black border or something, seriously.

Yes, there's situations where the subtitles seems difficult to read, I know. But just try read it anyway. I want keep it on this way. I don't want change this my subs style.
You can config a default font on your player if you don't like my style font, you know? MPC-HC has support for this.
Or you can use Chyuu-PAS subs on this.
Or you can remake/re-upload this release with these subs edited by you.
Or you can simply ignore this release (or all my releases).

And about my encodes/re-encodes, stop judging them like bad without checkout them just because I'm rookie on the encode world.

So hey, I've noticed a few things happening here. As I and everybody here has noticed, the quality of the subs isn't the greatest and at times very unreadable, amongst the list of other issues that I won't get into at the moment.

@Kamyne I think you're interpreting everyone's comments as a personal attack when from what I'm seeing, it's all rather valid criticism that you're deflecting because you think it'll make you look bad.
The thing is, if you'd actually take the criticism seriously, rather than brushing everybody off with your standoffish behaviour, you'd definitely win more friends here.
It's your unwillingness to compromise, your hostility towards anyone with a genuinely good idea to help you improve and your refusal to see your work as anything but perfect.

What you NEED to do here is change your attitude towards the people here and start seriously taking criticism for your work on-board, Putting a border or at least a heavier shadow in your text will make it more readable, both for yourself while you edit and for your audience as well. I actually have to put my extra special glasses on to see where the subtitles end and where the video starts in the picture @Mistywing and @Astral demonstrate.

PLEASE for the love of god MAKE YOUR TEXT READABLE!!! Don't just assume that everyone has perfect eyesight and can see what you see. Text readability is the FIRST thing you should consider when doing subbing work but hey you don't have to listen to me if you don't want to, I'm just a noob Quality Checker after all.

I was joking that your (again, easily fixable) font style choice helped in fixing the really shitty HIDIVE translation by making it more difficult to read, thus hiding how really shitty and Horrible(Subs) it is.

You have absolutely no reason to feel insulted by my slight against HIDIVE's really shitty translation since it is not your work and you have not put any work at all into fixing it.

I changed a bit this HorribleSubs subs to try "fix" it, on this release. But it still are HS subs (HIDIVE subs).

• I'll not use other subtitles. Put other "better" subs on it yourself, if you want.
• I'll not use other font style. Config your own default font style on your player or edit yourself this subs to style you like, if you want.
