The short film was released Nov 10 2018 to celebrate the 60 year anniversary of Souka-shi becoming an official city or something, and is about a young man called Souta who visits his old hometown because his fianceé told him that she wanted to move there. Stuff happens and there's Time Travel involved as an excuse to explore the city.

Notes:

  • The title for this is "きみの待つ未来（ばしょ）へ", but I've never heard of "未来" (Future) being pronounced as "ばしょ" (Place, Spot). Gave me a bit of a confuzzle.
  • Unsure if "Osen-san" is a person or just what they called the rice cracker makers. I chose the second option.
