There is an alternate honorifics track in this release. Set your media player to play “enm” language tracks by default to automatically play honorifics tracks.

1.) This is just CR's video. This is the rare project where CR's video isn't bloated and where the source doesn't have any glaring deficiencies (or, at least, the problems with the source that I can't fix are way more distracting than the ones I can (noise/banding in dark areas)).

2.) I picked up this project because I was watching Wakanim's translations of 01-04 and realized that I was having fun watching the show instead of getting frustrated with CR/Aniplex. Still, this is CR base.

Can I ask a silly question ? How is it that you know Wakanim ? It's a French editor right ? They don't do english subtitles right ?

I think it only makes sense to team up with Harunatsu who have done the initial hard work and are in need of help (especially with timing). There's no point having two groups do one show in this day and age where fansubs are a rarity.

I want to be in control of the script. That's just how I am. And if we're already bringing edit/time/TLC to the table (which I would be if I were working with Harunatsu), I might as well do the rest of the low-effort typesetting and such myself.

Also, a partnership between the two of us would probably never work because I think what they did with the OP styling was really bad and I don't think we could come to an agreement on how to handle it.

Wakanim does English subs for the Scandinavian market.

Huh, I thought the wakanim script was all over the place and had a lot of awkward lines compared to the relatively consistent CR script. At least for 5 and 6 where we actually started using wakanim with CR as a base as well.

I wouldn't want to relinquish my position as editor either so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Even though I'm not a big fan of SAO, this season is much better.

I think these issues are solvable, but that would be up to Haru, in the end.
