I cant seem to make this subtitle work. I was using the 1080p horrible subs rip and tried to to load subtitles with mpc-hc and it just never loads, causing the file just show the original subtitles. What am i doing wrong?

I use vlc to watch anime and I just right click and do "add subtitle file" to load the file. My only guess is make sure that after you try to load the new file, you select the new one or at least see if it is an option to be selected.

I use MKVToolNix to combine the subs with the MKV file
