@kiraak, I own the original DVD and it’s been produced in widescreen resolution, no 4:3 was ever made, Japan started using 16:9 aspect ratio long before the US & other parts of the world.

The flashback at the beginning of EP26 shows different aspect ratios for S1 and S2:

The aspect ratio is something close to 31:18 for S1.
