@Asakura: Windows sucks on laptops given how resource hoggy Windoze is. Install Linux on it and it will be snappy again.

Aegisub is available on Linux https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/aegisub/
All you have to do is open Package Manager GUI and search it and install it like you install apps on Android with Play Store.
Handbrake too is available if you do video encoding https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/handbrake/
Same with MPV https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/mpv/

@hazardous the windows itself is not a problem. The laptop itself is very old (and by very old I mean 7-8 years old). I have an ssd installed and generally everything is snappy, but once something needs cpu power, everything goes to shit.
