Description

Encoded from the Discotek DVDs. It's way better than the old encode given it's literally a decade old. Anyhow, it's got both Japanese and English audio tracks and English subs and sign subs, and also includes the extras off the DVDs which are the likes of dub outtakes (my favourite), original US OP & ED, TV promos, and clean OP & ED for only the 3rd ending and 2nd opening oddly enough. Also, I was going to OCR and SRT/ASS the subs, but given how many episodes there are and that I'd have to go through the subs to fix OCR mistakes, I didn't bother. However, the vob subs are good enough. At any rate, you can see some comparisons between the source, my encode and the old one below.

And lastly, given the torrent's size and my shitty connection, I'll probably be uploading this over the course of a week so do be prepared to wait for it to be complete. However, it's a long show so that shouldn't be a problem unless you intend to speed watch the show which I do recommend against. All in all, do enjoy. See ya!

The BDMV is on AB, why don’t you encode that instead of the DVDs?

Probably because the bluray looks worse.

The QTS rip is decent, and Moozzi's is, well, Moozzi-like. The Discotek DVDs were not very good (I used to own them). xPearse, any chance for a zip file with just the subs - would be interesting to tack them on the BR rips and see which eye cancer I like best

@Halberton, there are the old subs from the previous DVD release which has a different TL, but I'll extract and upload the VOB subs from Discotek's release if you want them. However, I'm unsure if you'll need to retime them for the BD which in turn would require them to be OCR'd. At any rate, the old ones can be found below. Let me know if you want the VOBs.

@solidsnake, that's because the BD is a literal upscale and looks awful. There's no point.

If you don't have them handy don't bother, I'll download your torrent and extract from there. Thanks for your work!
