* Based on a series of children's books written in the 1970s by Annette Tison and Talus Taylor. Barbapapa and his family can turn into anything they want. Each member of the family has his or her own personality. Very good show for the youngest children as each episode deals with another problem they will recognise in a way that is 'morally correct'. Source: ANN Note: The series aired from 13.10.1974 to 28.09.1975 on Dutch television and it took a few years before it was shown on Japanese television from 04.04.1977 to 27.03.1978. Some episodes may have aired in Germany prior to the Dutch broadcast. Note 2: The serie was originally aired and released in a non chronological order. The chronological order is: 1-3, 8-13, 16-18, 26, 6, 20, 23-25, 7, 39, 4-5, 31-34, 38, 21, 15, 28, 19, 29, 27, 35-37, 22, 30, 40, 14, 41-45. It was also released later on DVD in this order.
