One day in the peaceful world of Jewel Land, Lady Jewelina entrusts Ruby with the Magical Jewel Box and gives her a mission to make friends and collect Magic Jewels. In order to accomplish that task, Ruby needs to attend the Jewel Academy and open the Jewelpet Café. However, things don't go as well as she initially expected because the cafe is considered unpopular and needs a lot of work to prosper. However, when Ruby meets three middle school students: Tsukikage Chiari, Konoe Nene and Hanayama Ruruka, she decides to make friends with them and accepts their help in managing the Jewelpet Café.
